Katie Mae Dixon

Mrs. Katie Mae Dixon was born December 11, 1930 in Dawson, Georgia to Angel Lewis and Annie Mae Lewis. She relocated to Saint Simons Island at the age of 15 was baptized in the waters of the Saint Simons sound and became a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Katie Mae worked for SeaPak for number of years becoming a homemaker. Katie Mae was preceded in death by her late husband Joseph Dixon and one of her daughters, Jean Oglesby. She is the mother of Charles Edward Porter Jr (Linda), Cheryl Elizabeth Porter, and many grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
