Mrs. Rochelle Holland-Figueroa died January 29, 2022 at Hospice of the Golden Isles. Memorial service will be 11:00 am Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Abundant Life Fellowship 103 Buckingham Place with interment in Memory Gardens. Face coverings should be worn, social-distancing protocols will be observed.
Rochelle Annette Holland Figueroa was born on July 16, 1961, to the late Thomas and Iola Holland Sr. in Brunswick, Georgia. On Saturday, January 29, 2022, she peacefully went to be with Lord.
At an early age, she joined Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend E.C. Tillman, where she served faithfully throughout the ministry. She received her education from the Glynn County School System graduating from Glynn Academy in 1979. She was a member of the inaugural girls’ basketball team in 1977 under Coach Theresa Adams. She was employed at Winn-Dixie Corporation as a Meat Cutter. She enjoyed playing sports, shopping, traveling, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Thomas and Iola Holland Sr.; her brother: Thomas Holland Jr.; her grandchildren: A’zahrya, Tabitha, and Noah Daniels.
Her legacy will be forever cherished by her children: Rondell Daniels, Maurice Figueroa, and Rudy Figueroa Jr; grandchildren: Amariah, Mirahcle, Mekhi, Rylan, Zechariah, Jayden, Kayden, Tristan, Jaxen; brothers and sisters: Willard (Pearl) Britt, Katherine Johnson, Anthony Parham, Veronica Higgins, Linda (Dimitri) Sims, Sonya Lewis, Steven (Joyce) Holland, Daryl (Angela) Walker; aunt: Virginia Parham; uncle: Wilbur Whitfield Sr.; daughters-in-love: Tai Wilson, Larqueshia Andrews, and Brittany Callahan-Hector; brother-in-love: Arthur Bryant; sister-in-love: Brenda Dallas; her lifelong best friend: Gail Atkinson; her goddaughter: Valerie Lewis; her caregiver: Sharon Kinemore; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
